Chief Executive Officer

Dave Gerry most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Operations (COO) at WhiteHat Security, where he oversaw global revenue growth, service delivery, and customer-facing operations. Dave joined the company in 2017 and helped to lead WhiteHat through the sale to NTT in 2019 and, most recently, the sale to Synopsys in 2022.

Dave has been in the AppSec market for nearly a decade and has held key leadership positions within several cybersecurity companies such as WhiteHat Security, Veracode, Sumo Logic, and The Herjavec Group. Dave is passionate about building programs that are repeatable, scalable, and predictable, helping to drive customer business outcomes and technical value.

He holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a BA from Merrimack College. He lives with his wife, Jaclyn, and two daughters, Caroline (5) and Addison (2), in Southern New Hampshire.

Casey Ellis

Chairperson, Founder, and CTO

Casey is the Founder, Chairman, and CTO of Bugcrowd. He is an 18-year veteran of information security, servicing clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations as a pentester, security and risk consultant and solutions architect, then most recently as a career entrepreneur. Casey pioneered the Crowdsourced Security as a Service model launching the first bug bounty programs on the Bugcrowd platform in 2012, and co-founded the disclose.io vulnerability disclosure standardization project in 2016.

A proud ex-pat of Sydney Australia, Casey lives with his wife and two kids in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is happy as long as he’s passionately pursuing potential.

Robert Taccini

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Bugcrowd, Taccini was Chief Financial Officer of WhiteHat Security, where he played a key role in the successful spinout from NTT and sale of the business to Synopsys. In previous roles, he served as the CFO of HyperGrid, CFO and Treasurer of VCE Company LLC; and Vice President of Business Operations Finance for Cisco Systems. As the startup CFO of VCE, Taccini drove revenue growth, gross margin improvements, and operating efficiencies as the business scaled up to $500 million in operating budget and from six employees to 2,000-plus employees. Taccini also executed a converged infrastructure market strategy that yielded a $3 billion annual revenue run rate with 50% compounded growth over five years.

Mark Milani

Global Head of Product and Engineering

Mark is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience in leading global software engineering and product management teams. Mark brings a wealth of experience across a number of technology areas to his role of Head of Engineering at Bugcrowd, from developing solutions deep in the technology stack, to applications and cloud solutions for end users and service organizations.

Prior to Bugcrowd, Mark was SVP Product Engineering at Actian Corporation, and held multiple leadership positions at Oracle Corporation and Cross Access (acquired by IBM).

Nicholas McKenzie

Chief Information and Security Officer

Nick joins us most recently from National Australia Bank (NAB), one of Australia’s four largest financial institutions where he served as Executive General Manager-Chief Security Officer. At NAB, he was responsible for overseeing the enterprise security portfolio, which included cyber, physical security, investigations, and operational fraud capabilities to protect customers and employees, support business growth, and enable an operationally resilient bank.

Nick currently serves as an advisory board member for Google, Amazon Web Services, and Digital Shadows. Prior to NAB, Nick held IT risk and cybersecurity leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank, J.P. Morgan, and UBS.

Cecilia Parisi

VP of People and Places

Cecilia brings more than 20 years of people leadership experience to Bugcrowd. She’s an experienced HR leader and an expert in building teams and cultivating innovative talent practices. Most recently, she served as VP of Human Resources at CREDO Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator, where she was retained to see the company through its acquisition, and Savvius, which helps network and security professionals improve their network security and performance. Prior to that, she was a Senior Regional Human Resources Manager at Verizon Business.

Cecilia taught several human resources courses at Golden Gate University where she received her  Masters of Science degree in Human Resources. A Bay Area native, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting into the next home project, cooking, and traveling.

Grant McCracken

VP of Operations

A long time veteran of Bugcrowd, Grant joined the organization as an Application Security Engineer in 2014. Since then, he has overseen the creation and maintenance of hundreds of crowdsourced security programs as a Solutions Architect, as well as led the Researcher Success, Support, and Security Operations groups. He has been hacking for nearly a decade and is an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).

In his free time Grant enjoys writing and performing music, as well as staying active on running or hiking trails.

Tanya Gay

VP of Business Operations & Strategy

Tanya is a seasoned leader with over 15 years experience specializing in go-to-market strategy, identifying growth opportunities, developing innovative and cost-effective solutions to enhance competitive advantage, revenue, customer service and company profitability. She is known for her ability to design and build repeatable and scalable motions in high-growth environments.mPrior to joining Bugcrowd, Tanya held executive leadership positions in a series of security-focused businesses, including NTT Application Security, Bromium, and Veracode. In all three businesses, she was part of the team that managed the acquisition process.

Tanya has an MBA from Daniel Webster College, is a recent empty nester, and lives in New Hampshire with her husband.

Chris Nadan

VP and General Counsel

Chris Nadan is VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, responsible for all legal affairs for Bugcrowd. Chris has over 20 years’ legal experience at global technology companies, including most recently SVP & General Counsel at Actian Corporation, where he executed a successful sale of the company (staying on to help lead the company into its new incarnation), and Deputy General Counsel for Sun Microsystems, where he won Sun’s Chairman’s Award for Innovation. Chris was also an adjunct professor of law at U.C. Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law.

Chris received his undergraduate degree from Stanford and his J.D. from U.C. Berkeley, and lives in the Bay Area with his family.

Cassandra Morton

VP of Customer Success and Account Management

Cassandra Morton was most recently WhiteHat Security’s SVP of Customer Success and Service Delivery, where she was responsible for driving the entire post-sale customer journey. With over 18 years of experience in customer-facing operations, 10 of which are in Security, Cassandra uses her expertise to build out successful programs. She holds a keen focus on delivering positive customer outcomes with a passion for cross-functional team building and supporting a thriving Customer Success organization.

Prior to WhiteHat Security, Cassandra led Customer Success and Operational Deployment programs at SaaS organizations, including Veracode and SAI Global. As an ally and advocate for increasing LGBTQ+ representation in leadership positions, Cassandra is committed to opening the door to security careers for underrepresented communities.

Marcus MacNeill

VP of Product

Marcus brings 30 years of experience defining and marketing enterprise software to his role. Most recently, he was SVP Product at ASG Technologies (acquired by Rocket Software). Prior to ASG, Marcus held senior product management and marketing positions at Zenoss, Dell, Hart InterCivic, Surgient, Troux, Vignette, and Oracle. His career began in software engineering at IBM/Platinum Technology.

Marcus holds a B.A. in Economics (CS specialization) from Stanford University.

Jason Cowie

VP of Global Channel Sales & Strategic Alliances

Jason has over 25 years of experience building early and growth stage software companies, and most recently served as Vice President, Global Partners at SimSpace. Jason has been in the cybersecurity market for most of his career and has held key leadership positions at SecurityScorecard, McAfee, Zerto, and Virtual Instruments. Jason is passionate about forming partnerships to help organizations defeat advanced adversaries.

He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and completed graduate studies in Information Technology at the University of Victoria.

Mark Rossiter

VP of Sales – Americas

Mark W. Rossiter brings nearly 30 years of experience in leadership and enterprise sales to the team. Prior to Bugcrowd, Mark was VP of Sales, Americas, for NTT Application Security, where he was responsible for growing the company’s sales function to answer the growing market demand for NTT Application Security’s state-of-the-art technology. Before joining NTT Application Security, Mark served as Ivanti’s VP of Americas Sales within its Extended Products Group. He has also held senior executive roles at Oracle, Gartner, IBM and Xerox, where he honed his hardware, software, and services skills.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree from Niagara University, which he earned while serving as captain for the University’s Division 1 men’s soccer team, and has also completed special studies programs with Harvard University and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He resides in Somers, NY.

Emily Ferdinando

VP of Marketing

Emily is a go-to-market (GTM) leader with a focus on pipeline and revenue growth. She brings 15 years of GTM leadership experience, specializing in optimizing operational processes and data-driven strategy. With a background in sales and operations, Emily brings a unique approach to Marketing focused on down-funnel impact and top line growth.

Emily joins Bugcrowd from Veracode where she most recently led the Growth Marketing organization. Her background includes leadership roles across the GTM engine, including Global Business Development, GTM Enablement, and Operational Strategy. While there, she led the team through multiple events and two successful exits.

Emily lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two young children. She enjoys the outdoors and stretching her creative muscles through painting, fiction writing, and guitar.

Paul Ciesielski

Chief Revenue Officer

Paul Ciesielski is an accomplished strategic leader with a track record of driving predictable revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and team development. Paul is methodical, data & process driven, and has extensive cybersecurity, compliance, application, and infrastructure management experience. He brings a customer-first approach along with a great mix of inspiration, operational experience, and a record of success at all stages of company growth and through a variety of sales channels, partnerships, and markets.

Most recently Paul Ciesielski was CRO at TrueFort where he led go-to-market strategy for sales, marketing, channels, and field engineering. Before TrueFort, Paul was CRO at ReversingLabs, a leading provider of explainable threat intelligence solutions where he led go-to-market strategies for sales, channel, field engineering, and customer success. Previously, he served as CRO at SevOne (acquired by Turbonomic), and also served Vice President of Sales at Chef Software where Ciesielski helped the company achieve triple-digit growth. He has also held senior sales and leadership roles at AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco), Mazu (acquired by Riverbed Technology), and Mercury (acquired by HP).
